The Full Revision Path (Story + Book Revision Labs)

Story Lab + Book Revision Lab 2027

Your manuscript is done. Is it actually ready? What if the gap between “finished draft” and “finished book” is just the right sequence of feedback?

The Full Revision Path bundles Story Lab and Book Revision Lab into one connected journey, taking your manuscript from structural first pass to publication-ready revision. Start in Story Lab, where you diagnose your story’s structure and walk away with a clear, actionable revision plan. Then carry that plan into Book Revision Lab, a four-month program where community, expert guidance, and proven technique help you execute it chapter by chapter.

Writers who complete both programs don’t just revise their book once—they revise it with intention, twice, guided by two distinct rounds of honest, expert feedback.

Story Lab meets Thursdays for six weeks, 7 to 9 p.m. ET / 4 to 6 p.m. PT, January 21 to February 25. Book Revision Lab meets every other Thursday for four months, 7 to 9 p.m. ET / 4 to 6 p.m. PT, March 11 to June 17, 2027.

NOTE: Book Revision Lab requires an application. You must be accepted to Book Revision Lab to participate in this bundle. Learn more and apply here.

Our organization was founded to help amplify the voices of those who are often not heard—including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+ individuals, and other historically marginalized groups. We have witnessed how writing and sharing stories has the power to effect change by generating greater love, compassion, and empathy in the listener. In all of our programs, we provide an inclusive, supportive, and welcoming environment. We do not tolerate writing and/or behavior that perpetuates harmful stereotypes or fuels hate. Failure to align with our philosophy can result in your removal from class.
