PWN Teen is the teen division of Project Write Now. Project Write Now is a 501(c)(3) literary arts nonprofit transforming individuals, organizations, and communities through the power of writing.

Here’s what some of our writers are saying…

PWN has given me a space to express a side of myself that I tend to hide from people who don’t understand how important writing can be. It’s a place where I feel safe and secure. If nothing else, just being around writers and people who enjoy your craft is therapeutic and helps you build confidence to keep at it! — Megan F., 18
My class at PWN is the highlight of my week. It’s truly the only place where I feel I can be 100% authentic and accepted. Connecting with fellow teen writers has been such an incredible experience. Everyone I meet through PWN inspires me in some way or another. Teen Writing Group has helped me grow not only in my writing but also as an individual. So many of the greatest people I’ve met, I’ve met through PWN. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to write alongside such talented and awe-inspiring teen writers. Thank you, PWN, for creating such a positive atmosphere! — Sophia W.G., 16

Our organization was founded to help amplify the voices of those who are often not heard—including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+ individuals, and other historically marginalized groups. We have witnessed how writing and sharing stories has the power to effect change by generating greater love, compassion, and empathy in the listener. In all of our programs, we provide an inclusive, supportive, and welcoming environment. We do not tolerate writing and/or behavior that perpetuates harmful stereotypes or fuels hate. Failure to align with our philosophy can result in your removal from class.
