Welcome to Project Write Now!
We are a 501(c)(3) literary arts nonprofit transforming individuals, organizations, and communities through the power of writing. Founded in 2014, we offer creative writing programs and community outreach initiatives for youth, teens, and adults, both in person in the greater Monmouth County area of New Jersey and virtually on Zoom.
At the heart of everything we do is creating a supportive, inclusive community where writers can find inspiration, deepen their practice, and connect with one another.
For adults, we have programs designed for all levels and interests—from generative classes and drop-in sessions to more genre-specific multi-week classes. We also offer a book writing program for those committed to writing, revising, and publishing.
For youth and teens, we have creative writing classes, internships, and publishing opportunities in our online literary journal, Bridge Ink, and our teen magazine, Real Voices Write Now.
We also give back to our community through outreach programs, partnering with local schools and mission-driven nonprofits to make creative, expressive writing accessible to as many people as possible.
We believe the arts are more important than ever, and we are committed to removing financial barriers to participation. We offer payment plans and financial assistance in the form of full or partial seats, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
